He rolled over and said, “I think I’m in love.”
she said, “I know that you’re not dear but aren’t nights like this fun.”
She runs naked through waves with sand and salt in her mouth
laughing and knowing that this is what life’s all about
And sometimes the best comfort I can find
is a warm naked body lying next to mine
But the winds come through and help me to decide
‘cause I could let them blow me over or leave it all behind
I think I’ll leave it all behind
And the only kind of happiness is the kind that doesn't last
Over time we find a solid mind is one allowed to crack
So she softens her gaze and deepens her breath and takes what comes her way
and won’t be surprised when this love dies its just another day
Every April I suppose I'm in for pain
because seasonal depression doesn't do well in the rain
But in New England we all love to quote Mark Twain
who said just wait five minutes and the weathers bound to change
And sometimes the best comfort I can find
is the warmth of the fire vibrant and alive
A bowl of hot oatmeal or my mothers cup of rye
still the only way to lose a fear is to stare it in the eye
help me stare it in the eyes
And the only kind of happiness is the kind that doesn't last
Over time we find a solid mind is one allowed to crack
So just soften your gaze and deepen your breath and listen to me play
cause moods may swing but that's the thing its just another day
And the only kind of happiness is the kind that doesn't last
Over time we find a solid mind is one allowed to crack
So she softens her gaze and deepens her breath and takes what comes her way
and wont be surprised when this love dies its just another day.
