H o m e  ( l e t   i t  g o )

Last night I had a dream that the front door was open of my old house that they’d stolen

I walked in past the stairs to look in though the glass and into the kitchen

to view the life that I was missing sitting in that green arm chair

Home

Some woman turned around and screamed, saw me an unlawful stranger

as if my presence caused her danger, I stood there static and confused

She came at me with nervous words I started walking away backwards

Explaining that this was my home too

Then back to the entrance hall, she knocked out my wind and made me fall

I cried out and then gave in, Home’s only where my life had happened to begin

Change your sheets and change your shell, A change of pace will do us well

And in some time I think we’ll see it’s made us who we need to be

Home

Easy come and easy go, breathe life in then let it go

These are the things that hold me so I tear them up and let them go

Then last night I lost it all drinking whiskey with lawyers

Big business future employers singing like a prayer

And we think that all we need is in cash cards and IDs

So now what do I do since it was left under my chair

Easy come and easy go, take life in then let it go

These are the things that hold me so I tear them up and let them go

Easy come and easy go take life in then let it go

These are the things that hold us so let’s tear them up and let them go

Home.
